We held  SingKlub’s monthly Jive Party on 4th August 2024. The party was a great success as we adopted a new format for the party’s program. The party participants were divided into two groups to compete openly in a round-robin-style singing contest. An online judging panel comprising 15 random participants was formed and scoring was done instantaneously through a real-time macro polling feature. The party program also included a special  Intermission Performance session where some of our most talented members performed. The dinner menu comprised of the very special Handtossed Gourmet Pizza by Rosalind Lee, Pasta Salads by Irene Phong, and Malaysian Cassava Dessert by Rosalind Lee. Very delicious… Many thanks also go to Phan Chau who was part of the kitchen team to prepare and provide a delectable spread for the event.

Originally intended for 24, the party quickly grew to have a total of 33 participants, including 8 invited guests. We had a great party as everyone sang, danced, jived and feasted to their hearts’ content. We looked forward to our next Jive Party.

Further to the launching of SingKlub online activities announced in July, the regular Sunday class is now divided into two sessions namely :

Group A: 2pm to 4pm
Group B: 4pm to 6pm

While Group A remains to be a carried-over of past regular singing agenda, Group B mission is to provide a platform for those SingKlub members who wish to further enhance their singing skills through the use of special vocal techniques such as hybrid, falsetto, vibrato, etc. We hope this enhanced structure will bring about a renewed transformation of MSCBA SingKlub into a truly vibrant entity.
