PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

MILESTONE!

YAY!  The current board has indeed reached the one-year milestone of the two-year term. During this time, we have had an exciting journey together throughout the year with all of you. Personally, I am ever grateful to each and every volunteer, member, and the public who contributed, and supported this community and keeping it teeming with life and activities.

We are so grateful to another volunteer who stepped up to take the role of VP Singapore. Welcome Kok Sim Looi to the board! Recently, we have been so fortunate to be able to find an auditor, welcome Paul Teoh to the team! We have also added Crystal Ding our bookkeeper to the team!

Our community is a life supported by volunteers. The newly formed MSBCA Starlights Dance Group has been our ambassador showcasing our culture in dance at events. They say it’s a pleasure performing for MSBCA. Furthermore, we have other various activities for you to participate, in and connect with people. You may contact the leads for each of these groups with details online. Thank you to all our volunteers.

Officially we are in the beginning of the Fall Season, and towards the end of September, we have an exciting event, KOPITIAM (translation – Coffee Shop) at the clubhouse. This is where we make our culture shine through with our popular traditional food. The setup is a hawker center or pasar malam (night market) style with a whole slew and varieties of food for your to purchase and sample. I am looking forward to seeing you at this event. A lot of volunteers are involved and the chefs are carefully curated to prepare all the delectable food for you to enjoy!

This coming October, members are encouraged to attend our AGM at the clubhouse. It is an important business meeting and we appreciate your support in our community. Please check out the details online.
